Research and Collaboration
Our research focuses on architecture’s political capacity and its many different expressions: as built agency, as discourse, as situated assemblage of materials and social bodies, as object of investments, labor and maintenance, as industry and technique, and as distributor of conditions, opportunities and limits.
We study both the general aspects of political architecture and the locally situated instances. We collaborate with numerous architectural studios, municipal offices, NGO’s, academics and policy makers. Our partners are also curators, artists, journalists, builders, architecture schools and community leaders. Some are active in Denmark, many more are working in places we have visited. We are participating in the Royal Danish Academy based research center on Spaces of Danish Welfare. Our research is published in international and domestic journals.
