Throughout our lives, we will encounter situations that might leave us with an impact, shaping us in ways that may never fade. It can be hard at times to believe that the mind can withstand all the challenges we are facing. It often seems fragile and vulnerable, and it might be difficult to trust that you will make it through. However, more often than not, you will. 'EVERYTHING, WE CARRY' is a reflection on the many 'things' we, as humans, carry with us. With this piece I aim to honor the power of the mind and its resilience in a peaceful monument.
Contrasts are a condition of life. Our lives consist of dualities, and for me it comes down to the contrast between the light and the dark. In my work I intend to make room for both.
