In collaboration with VILLUM Window Collection, the Royal Danish Academy invites to "Window Talk" with the Japanese architect Momoyo Kaijima.
The event celebrates the publication of Momoyo Kaijima's new book Swiss Window Journeys.
Momoyo Kaijima presents the book's points about how windows have influenced human behavior and this will form the framework for a conversation about the importance of windows in architecture with architect Kathrin Susanna Gimmel from JAJA architects and professor Peter Thule Kristensen, Department of Architecture and Design. The conversation will be moderated by architecture reviewer at Politiken, Karsten Ifversen.

3:00 pm Karsten Ifversen: Welcome and introduction
3:15 pm Momoyo Kaijima: Presentation of Swiss Window Journey and the research project Swiss Window Behaviorology.
3:45 pm Panel debate: Momoyo Kaijima, Kathrin Gimmel, Peter Thule Kristensen. Based on the book Swiss Window Journeys and the description of the many unique window designs in Schwitzerland, which have emerged from climatic, cultural, and behavioral aspects, the panel will discuss our learnings from history and the significance of windows in future architecture.
4:30 pm VILLUM Window Collection offers a refreshment.
5:00 pm Opportunity to visit the exhibition Window Behaviorology and the permanent exhibitions at VILLUM Window Collection.
