The exhibition offers a diverse and vibrant insight into the work of students and recent graduates from the Royal Danish Academy and explores what happens when academic thinking is combined with artistic and creative methods.
See how Roskilde Festival’s new red train station came to life before welcoming this year’s festivalgoers arriving by train. Experience furniture design inspired by Egyptian traditions, as well as experiments with glass and ceramics from the Academy’s program on the island of Bornholm.
At the Royal Danish Academy’s Startup Hub, newly graduated architects and designers receive support to start their own businesses based on projects they developed as students – some of which are also on display here. in the exhibition.
The exhibition also showcases a selection of this year’s award-winning graduation projects. They cover a wide range of themes: from urban planning for people with dementia, revitalization of the Bellahøj high-rises, and reconstruction of the historic Stock Exchange, to fashion projects focusing on gender and identity, and visual design in the form of a hand-drawn comic about empathy and isolation.
