Projektet tager udgangspunkt i Islands omfattende problem med skimmelsvamp i bygninger og undersøger, hvordan renovering kan erstatte nedrivning. Bygningen “Gamla Morgunblaðshúsið” anvendes som case, hvor potentialet for at bevare uorganiske konstruktioner, reducere CO₂-aftryk og udvikle strategier til håndtering af skimmel i den eksisterende bygningsmasse analyseres.
