"Where the Sun Rises Twice" bridges past and present, merging digital techniques with traditional handcrafts, Hungarian folklore, and upcycled textiles to create garments as time capsules of memory - offering quiet resistance to disposability and inviting reflective connection between wearer and world.

In what ways can a garment function as a wearable time capsule, preserving personal memories from the past and narratives for the future?

This collection is a revisiting - a return not only to a place, but to the emotional landscape of my childhood. It is an act of remembering, reconnecting, and dressing in the traces of time.

Brigitta Szekernyés is a Hungarian designer who graduated from the Sustainable Fashion and Business bachelor’s program at the Copenhagen School of Design & Technology in 2018. She launched her own project, solær, in 2022, specializing in unique crochet and knitwear. Currently, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Fashion and Textiles at The Royal Danish Academy in Copenhagen, to further build on her commitment to sustainability, innovation and craftsmanship. Her work, which focuses on slow fashion, yarn experimentation, and upcycling, has been featured in various online and print media and have been showcased at Milan, Copenhagen, and Budapest Fashion Week.

Assistant Accessories Designer - GANNI

Assisting the Head of Accessories in the design and development process of four annual women’s accessories collection including capsules. From initial concept creation through prototyping and fitting to final product, the collections included the categories of shoes, bags, small leather goods, underwear, swimwear, knitted & embroidered accessories, scarves, hats, keychains and sunglasses.
