The Culture Department - Exploring Narratives of Heritage through Cultural Production

The dominant narratives of heritage preservation and neoliberal development in Gorlitz's historic centre fail to respond to economic stagnation and social division. Through the lens of allegories, the project seeks to expand narrative of city-making, rediscover architectural agency for its cultural actors by transforming a network of heritage buildings into cultural production sites.
