Cleaning of Silver Thread with Nanogels Loaded with Three Different Solutions

The corrosion of silver threads can influence researchers' and museum guests’ interpretation of objects. Removing corrosion products can pose problems for conservators due to textile, silk core, etc.

This project experiments with the use of nanogels loaded with different chemicals to see if it will limit the damage from the chemicals without significantly limiting their effectiveness.
