When is a house a home? I mean for a house to be a home, it is necessary that the house is close to us and our lives. A house without contact or resonance to the present and our lifestyles is not a home but instead a kind of empty container or physical body without substance.

Through a rebuild of my sister's house that was built in 1939 during the Egnahems movement in Sweden, I explore how to give the house that was built to a life that no longer exists a new meaningful and significant content that links the house to the present and my sister's life in the hope of creating a family home for her.
