Visit this year’s bachelor exhibition from the Royal Danish Academy’s professional bachelor’s programme Crafts in Glass and Ceramics opens. Danish and international students will present 14 graduation projects in glass and ceramics at Bornholm Centre for Arts and Crafts in Hasle.
The exhibition can be experienced on Bornholm throughout the summer and will subsequently be shown at a number of exhibition venues across the country.
Crafts at the intersection of the familiar and the exploratory
The 14 projects range from everyday objects to sculptural works, in which the weight of clay and the fragility of glass unfold in new dimensions. The exhibition moves within a dynamic field of tension between the recognisable and the experimental – and between tradition and renewal.
“In the encounter between tradition and renewal, the students have worked intensively with their disciplines and pushed their own boundaries. The result is an exhibition in which new narratives take shape – from the sensorially overwhelming to explorations of the possibilities inherent in nature,” says Head of Department Viki Kert.
Each project bears witness to a carefully developed personal expression and many hours of work in the glass and ceramics workshops in Nexø.

The exhibition tours the country
Following its opening on Bornholm, the exhibition can be experienced at several venues across Denmark:
- 26.06 – 25.08.2026: Bornholm Centre for Arts and Crafts, Hasle
- 04.09 – 29.11.2026: CLAY Museum of Ceramic Art Denmark, Middelfart
- 04.09 – 29.11.2026: Glass – Museum of Glass Art, Ebeltoft
- 17.12 – 12.02.2027: Royal Danish Academy, Library, Copenhagen

About the exhibition
The bachelor exhibition invites visitors to explore the space between the functional and the sensory – and to experience how craft is shaped in its encounter with the future. The exhibition has been made possible with support from a number of foundations, including the Augustinus Foundation, the Otto Bruun Foundation, the Sparekassen Bornholms Foundation, Bornholms Brandforsikring and the Aage and Johanne Louis-Hansen Foundation.
