Material Voices
'Material Voices' presents 'Architectural Technology’s' iterative, reflective involvement in sustainability through process-based strategies that are thoroughly anchored in practice.
Our contribution features investigative work by students and PhD fellows that merges the programme’s inherent craft-based methods with technical inquiries seeking to extend the life cycle of materials in an architectural context. We celebrate the interaction between the artistic and the technical through experiments deeply engaged in
the world of what is physically possible and necessary.
The artistic methods evolve through a dynamic interplay of hands-on techniques – such as drawing, models, and
photographic processes – and abstract reflections. Each phase informs the next, fostering a continuous dialogue between materiality and the design process.
