The bachelor programme 'Complexity Handling in Practice' is characterised by its collaborative approach to field studies and mapping in different contexts and physical locations.

These studies form the basis for an artistic methodology and are rooted in one’s immediate and experienced surroundings and the character of place.

The field studies, conducted in close collaboration with students, span from Japan and Mozambique to Kalundborg and Christiania. This interactive learning environment is used to discuss questions about urbanity, climate, and resources, fostering a deep understanding of the context.

The exhibition entry brings together studies, drawings, and reflections about the market for the architecture we create. To change the world, one must first understand it. This understanding comes through studies of what already exists – from abstract drawing exercises to bodily investigations. The contribution brings together the lessons learnt by the programme over several years and should be regarded as a dialogue between lecturers and students and between the Royal Danish Academy and practice.
