Situated in in Baton Rouge, Louisiana’s Mid-City North, once sugarcane slave plantations and now shadowed by one of America’s largest oil refineries, A Landscape of Repair explores how communities burdened by environmental racism can transition from a petrochemical present to a post–fossil fuel future through bioremediation, alternative energy, and urban agriculture.
