Job and Employment

Visual Game and Media Design teaches students high-level skills in visual design for games and media, project development, game design, collaboration, and working with clients.

Having finished the program, you will have a substantial portfolio of prototypes and finished projects, demonstrating both your creative abilities and your ability to fit on a larger team. We find that these are sought-after skills in a range of industries. In addition to these general skills, the projects let students focus on developing their own profile.

Our graduates typically find work in game development as visual artists or game designers in the software and web industry as UI/UX designers, or in film and media as visual or production designers and art directors. Many graduates also go on to form their own companies.

Graduates from the Royal Danish Academy game programme have found work in companies such as Unity3d, IO Interactive, Lego, Bolwerk Games, Ghost Ship Games, MoviestarPlanet, Throughline Games, Brain+, Betadwarf, Bird Island, Triple Topping, Tactile, Raw Power, Triband, Plywood Project, Invisible Walls and Quixel.
