External collaborative activities
The Institute of Architecture and Culture has a close and broad collaboration with the profession. It is more the rule than the exception that study projects are carried out together with external actors such as architectural design studios, municipalities, developers or citizens as well as other research and teaching institutions in both Denmark and abroad.
In order to strengthen this learning-rich exchange between the institute about the outside world, we have established a dialogue panel with selected representatives from a wide professional field. The dialogue panel and the institute work together to develop the concept of "building culture" in both teaching, research and artistic development work.
In addition to the collaboration with the dialogue panel, the institute has a number of close and strategic collaborations with organisations, professional environments, teaching and research institutions, authorities, companies, interest organizations and non-profit foundations. The institute is involved in business collaborations with producers who, for example, works with sustainable technologies within existing and new construction, as well as with design studios whose approach is relevant to the institute's programs.
The institute is part of research networks i.a. with: CBS (Institute for Management, Politics and Philosophy); University of Copenhagen (Art & Culture, Anthropology, "Waterworlds"); Lund University; University College London; University of Basel; ETH Zurich; Max Planck Institute; RMIT; London Metropolitan University; KULife; Aarhus School of Architecture; Oslo School of Architecture and Design; ETSAB/UPC in Barcelona, Hong Kong University and others.
