This project raises the question of type. More specific it is a redefinition of ‘kroen’. ‘Kroen’ is a type of accommodation – A threshold between the world of a traveller and the everyday life in a village. ‘En kro’ has a specific atmosphere which is rarely found in a lonely air’bnb or a non-site hotel. ‘Kroen’ is a non-home. This project aims to unfold the contemporary potential of ‘en kro’.
