Crafts in Glass and Ceramics

Short about Crafts in Glass and Ceramics

The Royal Danish Academy’s Programme of Crafts in Glass and Ceramics is one of Europe’s leading programmes in its field. The programme is rooted in the strong Danish tradition of craftsmanship in glass and ceramics and is offered as a Professional Bachelor Programme at Bornholm – Maker’s Island and the first World Craft Region in Europe.

We investigate processes, materials and practice. Students develop their artistic voices and a professional language throughout the three years and three months of education. We have excellent facilities for both analogue and digital technologies to use when working with the materials, glass and ceramics.

In the programme, students address, discuss and develop their individual ways of working and interacting with the materials. We also explore different business ideas and collaborative strategies, and the programme includes two supervised internship periods in local or international companies.
