Information for Ukrainian refugees
Following Act no. 324 of 16 March (Special Act on displaced persons from Ukraine) and Ministerial Order no. 474 of 24 April 2022, Ukrainian nationals are exempt from paying tuition fee at Danish higher education institutions provided they have a residence permit in Denmark as a displaced national of Ukraine. The residence permit is granted by the Danish Immigration Service and SIRI. Further information on how to apply for the residence permit as a displaced national of Ukraine:
Master programmes
The Royal Danish Academy offers master programmes in Architecture in both Danish and English and master programmes in Design in English. Danish language proficiency is required for admission to Danish taught programmes and English proficiency is required for admission to English taught programmes.
Applying for a master programme
The 2024 intake opens on 15 January with a deadline on 1 March.

Bachelor programmes
The Academy offers 3-year bachelor’s degrees in architecture, design, and conservation (Danish taught) as well as a 3½ year degree in Crafts (English taught).
Applying for a bachelor programme
You may apply for admission under the Special Act on displaced persons from Ukraine, i.e., without paying tuition fee. Note that you will be required to meet all other admission requirements, this including proof of language proficiency.
