Transfer, Re-enrolment and Credit Transfer

Transfer from universities outside of Denmark
If you  are already enrolled in a Master’s programme abroad you have to apply for admission through the ordinary application procedure. We do not have a special application track for transfer students.

When you apply for admission you are required to submit documentation for credits obtained on previous master-level programmes. The Academy will after admission assess if you will be given credit for your previous master-level studies.

We do not make credit transfer assessments before admission.

Find further information about credit transfer on https://royaldanishacademy.com/en/Credit-transfer-bachelor-master.

Transfer from Aarhus and Kolding
Students from Aarhus School of Architecture can apply for a transfer to MA in Architecture. Students from Design School Kolding can apply for a transfer to MA in Design. The Royal Danish Academy is able to accept transfer students only in case of vacant places.

Re-enrolment
As with transfer students, re-admission is subject to vacant places on the programme. Please note that in case you have previously been involuntarily de-registered from The Royal Danish Academy, you must apply for a dispensation as part of your application for re-enrolment. Relevant documentation in support of your dispensation should also be included.
