The Royal Danish Academy - Architecture, Design, Conservation’s strategy for 2026-2030 is entitled: Collaborate.

No single actor can create major change alone. The Royal Danish Academy’s strategy towards 2030 therefore focuses on strengthening and developing collaboration with a broad range of actors – from citizens to leading experts within our professional fields.

The Royal Danish Academy is a leader in artistic and innovative working methods. We draw on both theory and practice, as well as technology and behaviour. In this way, we contribute knowledge and solutions to society and industry, helping to advance sustainable ways of living globally.

Recognising that strategic initiatives must adapt to a changing world, the strategy is supported by action plans that are evaluated annually. This enables priorities and activities to be adjusted on an ongoing basis within the overall direction of the strategy.

Committed to the UN Global Goals

For many years, the Royal Danish Academy has been committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The 2026-2030 strategy is intended to bring us one step closer to our vision for 2050: to position the Royal Danish Academy as an internationally recognised contributor to the development of a world in balance, grounded in our three core disciplines: architecture, design and conservation.

In this way, the strategy continues our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which take a holistic approach to global challenges and involve a broad range of actors.
