Are most of the important planetary boundaries we face within ourselves?
The challenges presented by planetary boundaries reflect the inherent aspects of the human species: our individualism and materialism. To address these challenges, we need to seek out alternative methods for engaging with both the planet and one another.
We need to examine our behaviour and our activities. The CoLaB™ teaching format draws this trajectory from individualism to cocreation and community in the process of establishing and transmitting knowledge that we call teaching. It explores educational formats and novel perspectives, with emphasis on community and cocreation as tools for providing innovation as this relates to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
The teaching format is based on Earth Wisdom and regenerative design thinking. It gathers students and teachers to perform a specific task, while exploring alternatives to the way in which we interact with one another.
