Research in Conservation
The aim of the Royal Danish Academy - Conservation is to create a national center for professional development in conservation through education, research and business collaboration. We want to educate candidates and create knowledge that shapes society and cultural heritage - and which, with our special field of knowledge, contributes to the Royal Danish Academy's unique link between science, practice and art.
As part of an artistic and business-oriented academy, we work to deliver research at a high international level in close contact with the industry and the professions we train for.
The purpose of our research is to form the basis for research-based education and the continued development in cooperation and positive competition with foreign conservation education programs.
At the same time, the Royal Danish Academy - Conservation must contribute with necessary research and development to support applied conservation and preservation in Denmark as well as in other subject areas within culture and natural and cultural heritage where our research is relevant.
