This project is a suggestive exploration into the concept of longevity. The aim was to get closer to finding my own design language and translation of the term in practice. I want my design to be valuable in a way that encourage longevity and conscious consumption, by providing aesthetical and functional value. Through the project I investigated a future vision for longevity, exploring how to create a form language based on my study of geometrical figures – liberating my approach to longevity from the “classic” styles associated with the term. Through my design, I wish to challenge how we often perceive long lasting clothes and emphasize that it’s not just jeans and t-shirts, but that it can be more exciting and challenging without losing the sense of ease. I hope to enlighten others with a different perspective on shape, and challenge not only my own approach to clothing and shape but others too.
