Short about Art and Architecture

Art and Architecture deals with architecture as building art and art as poetics – artistic reflection in dialogue with technical knowledge and traditional architectural work. A robust architectural method with the aim of driving the development towards a new, meaningful architecture.

At the drawing board, we take an interest in traditional architecture, including typologies, spaces, tectonics and materials. The drawing and the model are our tools to release and communicate our ideas. We try to find the tools that suit the individual student's working methods and interests, as we believe that drawing is also a way of thinking.

In the subject of poetics, the students are introduced to a number of theories and works which in one way or another are critical of their world around them. Through written reflection, we sharpen our architectural statements, at the same time as we develop our own poetics.
