Ane Pilegaard

In my research, I focus on the spatial and material aspects of museum interiors and display design. I am interested in the ambiguous and shifting aesthetics of museum interiors: how they allow for intimate object encounters, while also being public spaces for social engagement, and how they combine permanent and temporary structures. For instance, when historical buildings are transformed to meet the requirements of new exhibition practices, and when permanent museum architecture meets temporary exhibition design.
