Sarah Oakman is a graduate from the Royal Danish Academy - Crafts in Glass and Ceramics and runs the interdisciplinary production and exhibition house Matter - House of Craft in Nexø, Bornholm.
Since 2015, Sarah Oakman has run the company Oh Oak, through which she develops and produces ceramic objects for both everyday use and for Michelin restaurants both at home and abroad, as well as exhibition projects with a particular focus on glaze development and sustainable practices in a local setting. In addition, Sarah Oakman works with industrial design and has among other things developed a series of larger ceramic objects for FDB Møbler.
