Co-funded research

The Royal Danish Academy wish to maintain and enhance their collaboration with the business world in terms of research and development.

Samfinansieret forskning

Co-funded research means that the company and the Royal Danish Academy engage in a joint research project, in which the Academy have a research-related interest, and for which the company provides subsidy in the form of funding, equipment or hours.

It might also entail projects funded via the Danish organisation, Innovationsfonden, in the form of innovation consortia, the InnoBooster knowledge coupon scheme, Commercial PhDs and post-doctoral fellowships.  Collaboration between business and academia is a central element, for example, in the EU's central research programme, Horizon 2020 and in Scandinavian innovation programmes such as Nordic Built.

In co-funded research, the Royal Danish Academy's principal contribution consists of hours.
