For this master project, we have worked in the field of learning and education, with a focus on pupils in the age of 6-10, and their natural need for touching and movement by their school furniture. We have investigated how haptic stimulation tools for pupils can be a complement to visual and auditory education, in order to improve their concentration and to create a calmer learning environment.

The programme facilitates the exchange of knowledge between design, architecture, and management into fruitful and constructive collaborations through design thinking methods for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The interdisciplinarity, at the programme, is required to tackle ‘wicked’ problems and complex challenges and gives the ability to translate concepts such as circularity, sustainability, innovation, or user understanding into concrete and tactile design proposals that create actual change.

The programme combined the practice-oriented approach to design with the theoretical aspects of design. And with a focus on gaining an understanding of materials, investigating and working with a variety of physical prototypes, and experimenting with design approaches and skills.
