Urban centralization is leaving behind 3500 vacant houses in Lolland. Our project investigates how to keep the houses in our memory without telling a Potemkin story. Fragments of eight deserted houses in Nakskov will be dissected and exhibited as a hybrid forming a hotel that articulates the threshold of the local collective memory and the official narrative of Nakskov as a tourist attraction.
