Planetary Boundaries

About Planetary Boundaries

Landscape is where interests meet.

Everything begins and ends in the landscapes. Landscapes are in the interest of everybody, agriculture, energy production, recreation, climate adaptation, infrastructure, pleasure, aesthetics, health - we live in and from landscapes.

The programme is based in landscape architectural thinking and practices and sees architecture as a form of representation of man's relationship with nature. Architecture is one of the ways humans are in the world and coexist with the non-human.

Global warming, lack of resources, loss of biodiversity indicates that the ways we have coexisted with the non-human cannot continue unchanged.

Therefore, the programme examines other ways of understanding and working with landscape as architecture.

Master programme to be launched in 2026/27 at the Royal Danish Academy in Kalundborg.
