second.garden is an architecture studio developing social gardens from secondhand plants. 

We collaborate with businesses, institutions, and individuals to conceptually and artistically integrate biodiversity into concrete garden designs. Our work includes concept and design development, research, events, workshops, and, to an extent, hands-on implementation.

In an age of increasing external pressures and demands for constant adaptation and efficiency, the need for human-centred work environments is more important than ever. We strive to source plants secondhand in collaboration with nurseries, private and public gardens, in line with the principles of circular economy. This approach enriches our projects with the unique stories and contexts associated with each plant while reducing the resource consumption involved in the landscaping work.

We see the garden as a collaborative design process that continues to evolve through ongoing interaction, cultivating diverse ecosystems and meaningful bonds among users.
