Moving Landscape

Project
Emil Hvelplund Kristiansen, Silvia Cipeletti

This project explores architecture from a cinematic perspective, investigating spaces at the level of their inhabitants.

The research methodology integrates cinematic techniques, including shot planning, sequencing, and location scouting, aligning the intrinsic methodologies of filmmaking with architectural inquiry and revealing hidden narratives within spaces.

Artistic filmmaking serves as a personal expression of the experiences, prompting questions about place rather than providing solutions. This artistic lens enriches
architectural practice outside academic settings, emphasising the value of existing structures. In a context where architects increasingly add to existing spaces rather than building new ones, the film offers a ground-level approach to studying architecture, fostering a deeper appreciation for the built environment.
