Exhibition: Danish Design meets Ancient Egypt

'Danish Design meets Ancient Egypt' is an exhibition showing 20 pieces of furniture ranging from stools and chairs to benches and storage solutions.
The designs explore ancient Egyptian methodology and inspiration together with contemporary circularity. Working together in groups, the furniture students designed furniture that will last but also has mechanisms for repair, repurpose and remanufacture.
The exhibition is based on the work of 20 Furniture Design master students from The Royal Danish Academy:
Aida Rasmussen, Amalie Loumand Skriver, Andrea Burelli, Asger Emil Didriksen, August Jochum Laustsen, Capucine Dubs, Frederik Refer, Ida Hertz Gufler, Josefine Andersen, Karoline Lind Bøttern, Mette Korte Martinsen, Nanna Storm Jørgensen, Natalia Saczek, Nicole Wong, Niklas Fiedler, Nils Peltier, Otto Engelhardt, Peiyao Duan, Persia Mckinney-Duncan, Ula Krauze
The project has been supervised by Nicolai de Gier and Andreas Lund, Institute of Architecture and Design, The Royal Danish Academy.
