Danish language requirement
Applicants must document Danish language qualifications corresponding to Danish at A-level.
If you are residing in Denmark this can be done in two ways; either through the Danish upper secondary school exam or by successfully passing the Danish proficiency test 'Studieprøven' with a minimum grade of 2 in each discipline.
The Royal Danish Academy also accepts the Swedish 'Tisustesten' and the Norwegian 'Bergenstesten' as equivalent to 'Studieprøven'.
As an international student residing outside of Denmark you must be able to document Danish proficiency through e.g. extensive university studies.
Note that non-EU students cannot obtain a residence permit for the purpose of learning Danish and preparing for the proficiency test.
Specific rules apply to applicants with an upper-secondary school leaving certificate from Norway, Sweden or Iceland. For further information please refer to https://kglakademi.dk/adgangsgivende-eksamen.
In case you have a certificate from Finland then please get in touch with admissions for a pre-evaluation.
