The bachelor education is built around the education’s interdisciplinary teaching, which makes up a third of the bachelor education – the interdisciplinary education is the consistent professional backbone. Here, all the common professional areas for all designers are taught; e.g., general design process and method subjects, design strategy, design anthropology, and user involvement with, amongst others, co-designer methods. Here, history of design and the design concept’s development, technology – and social understanding and project leadership, as well as the classical artistic disciplines such as composition, drawing, form, colour, and materials science.

On the bachelor education’s programmes, you can choose to go in-depth within either product design, visual design or crafts: glass and ceramics. Here, the general competences from the interdisciplinary teaching are put into play in relation to the programme and the chosen field of study.
