The project proposes a shipyard in Marstal on Ærø where primary and secondary school students will be taught sustainable consumption and production through the production of the local boat type; the smakkejolle. In addition to teaching students about sustainability the project will help revitalize Ærø, which is experiencing a skewed demographic composition and decline in employment.
