A FISH MARKET TRANSFORMATION

The small fish stall is only used by two or three people, but it occupies a very prominent position in the harbor in Torshavn. Most of the space is not being used. Tourists pass by the harbor but there is no place to sit and rest, no place to enjoy the view. So I wanted to combine the trading activities of the fishermen with a space for people to relax. Let the important location by the harbor be fully utilized.

The goal of the food market is to meet the needs of fishermen who have just disembarked from their boats to sell fresh seafood. Local residents can also come and buy fresh seafood. When tourists don't know where to buy fresh seafood, they will definitely find the pier. Also, when tourists are tired and want to find a place to enjoy the good view of the harbor, they can find this place to have a rest, have a coffee or just have a look and rest.
