This chair is based on a fascination and inspiration from the religious sect Shakers, functionalism and furniture architect Børge Mogensen.

The design of the chair has clear references to functionalism, where values such as 'Form follows Function; Less is More' are based on values like Shakers, where the furniture should be practical and free of unnecessary decoration. The same goes again with Børge Mogensen, who focused on creating furniture with man in the centre.
