This project is about reviving the old familistére (social utopia), which was once a central part of the old factory complex in Nørrebro. The scheme focuses on including the public by making a food market that also works as a hall for larger social gatherings. The food market lies as a natural extension of the existing shed roof factory, and continues the existing rhythms of the nearby factories with an underlying modern style. All materials are chosen to be as green as possible.
