The Ephemeral Embassy

Name
Lisa Marie Gerdes

Subject area

Study programme
Political Architecture: Critical Sustainability
Year
2023

The embassy (re-)appears and disappears as a building system, a tactic, an agential cut, which as a being of the sensory and of sensation, challenges the traditional architectural projective thinking and modes of acting. Instead, it attunes to impact-acknowledgment in bringing home multiplicities of matter and reclaiming access to human and vibrant agency in a proxy place of power struggles.

The Royal Danish Academy supports the Sustainable Development Goals
Since 2017 the Royal Danish Academy has worked with the Sustainable Development Goals. This is reflected in our research, our teaching and in our students’ projects. This project relates to the following UN goal(-s):
Sustainable cities and communities (11)
Life below water (14)
Life on land (15)
