dddd.domains entails a comprehensive design proposal for an online exhibition space for Designmuseum Danmark. The platform is built to collect and exhibit digital design artefacts exclusively. Our initiative is based on a desire to challenge and reconsider how a museum can remain relevant and thus evolve to adapt its platform, as an increasing amount of design artefacts exist in the digital sphere

The visual language of dddd.domains embraces the medium and its mechanisms. It is inspired by the inner workings of the Internet, its inherent structures and native languages, such as: acronyms, URL, metadata, circulation and algorithms. The URL identity is interactive, functioning as the platform's menu and navigation tool.

To respect the dynamic life of digital artefacts, we decided that none of the digital artefacts should be printed on any analog material. Instead the digital artefacts can be experienced with a smartphone or tablet via Augmented Reality (AR).
