This project explores how an industrial site in Copenhagen can be densified with housing, seeking alternatives to challenges connected to contemporary residential areas. As a counter approach to tabula rasa developments, the project builds its identity on site specific qualities and investigates how housing can coexist with industrial functions. The groundfloor is developed around a culture of sharing, providing an alternative to current tendencies of maximizing private consumption.
The project investigates alternatives to four specific challenges
In the search of alternative solutions, the project works with four main concepts
