With a mass extinction event on the horizon species are going extinct at a rate 1,000 times higher than the natural background rate. Human expansion and activities are causing this biodiversity crisis that ultimately threatens our own survival. This project proposes a new architectural typology and strategy for urban expansion that functions as part of an ecosystem rather that destroying it.
