Launch Nordic 2015 – KADK hosts green global innovation summit
KADK hosts the green global innovation summit Launch Nordic 2015. The LAUNCH Nordic Summit april 28, 2015 will bring together 120 key stakeholders, industry players, innovators, policy makers, researchers, and designers all selected based on the critical role they play within the system of materials.
Among the organisations joining are IKEA, Novozymes, NASA, Nike Inc., USAID and U.S. State Department. The event is by personal invitation only.
During the Summit, the LAUNCH Nordic Innovation Challenge 2015 will be announced. The challenge will be open to individuals and teams, start-ups and established companies. Deadline for applications will be August 12, 2015. In October 2015 the top 10 innovations will be selected and participants will take part in a unique acceleration program that provides support, networking, and mentoring from influential business and government officials.
Among participants at the LAUNCH Nordic Summit will be: Catherine Coleman, NASA Astronaut & PhD in Chemistry, Håkan Nordkvist, Head of Sustainability Innovation, IKEA Group, Andrew Morlet, CEO of Ellen MacArthur Foundation, Nelleke van der Puil, VP Materials, LEGO Group and Ida Auken, Member of Danish Parliament & Young Global Leader WEF. All invitees are invited based on their critical role in the system om materials and manufacturing. The LAUNCH Nordic Summit is by invitation only.
The summit challenge 2015:
LAUNCH Nordic was founded to identify, showcase and support innovations that have the potential to solve some of the world’s greatest sustainability challenges.
As part of the 2015 process, LAUNCH Nordic will conduct a global search for innovators whose transformational ideas, products and services could leverage or advance sustainable New Materials & Feedstock.
LAUNCH Nordic is a partnership between IKEA, Novozymes, Kvadrat, Danish Ministry of the Environment, Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, The Capital Region of Denmark, VINNOVA, and Region Skåne.
LAUNCH Nordic operates in collaboration with LAUNCH founders: NASA, Nike Inc., USAID, and U.S. Department of State.
