Min konto i Findbasen
Introductory video FINDbasen (in Danish)
Do you have some advice for my search?

Yes! Our librarians are experts in information retrieval and can give valuable advice on how to start or proceed with your research - just contact the Library desk for an appointment.
Below, we have listed a few tips that can help you search not only FINDbasen but also many other databases more efficiently:

  • use " " (citation marks) to search phrases eg. "socially responsible design"
  • use OR to search alternative words, eg. Denmark OR Danmark
  • use NOT  to exclude words, eg. piracy music NOT shipping
  • use * (asterisk) to truncate a word and search for multiple endings, eg. urbani* = urbanization, urbanism...
  • use ? (question mark) to replace letters, eg. organi?ation = organization og organisation

Try also these three in FINDbasen:

  • left menu: filter your search results, eg. to see only books on shelf
  • advanced search: allows more precise searches eg. on title or author
  • drop-down below search box: choose type of material, eg. to search only graduation programmes
Why log-in?

We recommend you log in to FINDbasen before you start your search. By logging in, you can:

  • order books, copies/pdf and pay fines
  • save search queries and search results
  • automate search queries: the system executes the same query regularly and e-mails you the updated results eg. once/week
  • export bibliographic information for reference lists and biblioographies via e-mail or reference tools such as RefWorks and EndNote
What is my pin code?

How do I get a pin code?

When registering as a user, you are simultaneously assigned a pin code. If you forget your pin code, you need to show up at the Library desk in person to get a new code.

How do I change my pin code or address?

You can change your personal settings such as pin code, e-mail address, language preferences etc. yourself. Just log in and click My Account in the upper right corner. Thereafter, find "personal settings" in the menu where you can administer your changes.
