Klothing - Centre for Apparel, Textiles & Ecology Research

About 'KLOTHING - Centre for Apparel, Textiles & Ecology Research'

The Centre's purpose is to build up knowledge about how it can contribute to the sustainable development of the clothing and textiles sector, based on specific Danish design traditions and conditions.

A key question is how design-related approaches can contribute to increasing the circularity of resources and products, thereby achieving the reduction targets necessary to curb an escalating climate crisis.
The centre will contribute an ecosystem approach in which the connection between the planet, user, economy and design is studied in different types of value chains, which can qualify the important position of the design profession in the green transition.
