The Circumstance Of Possibilities- is a series of public lectures by Norwegian architect and writer Per Olaf Fjeld, Professor em at the Oslo School of Architecture and Design.

This lecture is about Sverre Fehn. Fjeld has written numerous books and articles on architecture, including Sverre Fehn: The Thought of Construction (1983) and Sverre Fehn: The Pattern of Thoughts (2009). Since 1975, he has run a small architectural studio with his wife, Emily Randall Fjeld.

The lecture series is organised by the Art and Architecture master’s degree programme at the Institute of Architecture and Culture as part of Atlas, a series of seminars aiming at relating architectural design to a broader cultural and societal horizon of ideas and meaning.
