Join us for an open lecture presenting a holistic parametric approach to balance Energy Efficiency and Environmental Quality in Dense Mediterranean Districts.
Focusing on the intersection between architectural design and environmental engineering, this lecture will discuss the challenges of implementing regenerative phase in different scales and climatic regions, the key role of architects in the transformation to climate-responsive environments, the place of traditional methods in the digital age and new metrics to quantify urban quality in research and practice.
About the presenter
Jonathan Nathanian acquired both his architectural degree and practical experience in Israel before earning his master’s degree at the AA in London. Since 2018 Jonathan works as a research associate at TUM. Jonathan strives to integrate architecture and environmental engineering by developing a digital workflow to help planners reliably balance urban form, energy balance and environmental quality.
