In order to recreate Ishinomaki after the devastating effect of the tsunami, Nippon Paper Industry and Ishinomaki 2.0 collaborate to restore the city with a production of paper folding techniques forms made of paper, papercrete and concrete. The Nippon Paper Industry and Ishinomaki 2.0's wish to involve the population develops into an open production in the heart of the city.

The factory invites the city in with its open public space and reaches out to the city with its tentacles of permanent and temporary forms to fill the city's vacant sites. The lightweight paper constructions can be inserted anywhere in the city, but can also be formatted by the people and become the mold for permanent structures.
